2019 Jackie Robinson Invitational presented by Mizuno

The Atlanta Braves are committed to honoring the legacy of Jackie Robinson by hosting the Jackie Robinson Invitational presented by Mizuno. The event educates youth baseball and softball players about the impact of Jackie Robinson's achievements and allows teams the opportunity to showcase their talent and compete. 

This tournament is meant for recreation programs and teams in the greater Atlanta Metro area. If you are hesitant about your team's classification, please contact youthbaseball@braves.com and we will determine. 

On Saturday April 13th & 14th, 2019, 42 teams (Baseball and Softball) will gather for the annual Jackie Robinson Invitational presented by Mizuno. This year, the event will take place at the Wade Walker Family YMCA and Redan Recreation Center to celebrate Robinson's legacy. The format of the tournament will be two pool play games that lead into a single elimination bracket to determine a winner.

Each team receives the following:

• Guaranteed to play at least 3 games, with the potential to play 4
• A chance to meet a Braves alumni and take a team photo 
• A Mizuno Braves 42 Jersey (to be worn on Sunday, April 14th in bracket play)
• 15 Free Braves Tickets to the Tuesday, April 16th, Braves vs. Diamondbacks game (tickets subject to availability)
• A pregame parade around the warning track at the Braves vs. Diamondbacks game

Tournament Format

Pool play tournament that leads into a single elimination bracket to determine a winner. Three (3) game guarantee (weather permitting). 

There will be seven age divisions competing in this tournament:

Baseball: 

• 6U T-Ball: 6 teams max
• 8U Coach Pitch:  6 teams max
• 10U Baseball: 6 teams max
• 12U Baseball: 6 teams max 

Softball: 

• 8U Softball: 6 teams max
• 12U Softball: 6 teams max 
• 14U Softball: 6 teams max 

Registration Guidelines

• If space is available, your credit card will be charged automatically.
• Birth Certificates must be submitted via the online website (document upload).
• Waivers must be signed by all players and coaches participating in the tournament (this is completed online from your team dashboard)

Registration per team is $150 and guarantees your place. No refunds will be given as the $150 will apply towards the Atlanta Braves tickets.
